Present Indefinite sentences ko recognise karne ki bahut hi simple trick hai. Agar koi sentence english me diya hai, to root form me agar “s” ya “es” laga ho to samjh jana chahiye ki sentence Present Indefinite Tense ya Simple Present Tense me hai. 

Example: Soham’s brother tells a lie.

Hindi: Soham ka bhai jhut bolta hai.

Iss example me tell ke “s” ko add kiya hai to yeh sentence Present Indefinite Tense ka mana jaega. Iske alawa agar hindi translation wala sentence agar “(bol)ta hai, (bol)te hai, (bol)ta hu, (bol)ti hai”, inme se kisi par end ho raha hai toh bhi uss sentence ko Present Indefinite Sentence bolege.

Present Indefinite Tense or Simple Present Tense ke Affirmative sentence ko banane ka jo formula hai vo kuch aisa hai:

Subject + First Form of Verb + s or es + Object

Important Points: 

  • Sentence ka subject singular ho ya sentence ka subject He, She, It se start ho, toh sentence ke verb me s or es lagega.
  • Sentence ka subject plural ho ya sentence ka subject I, We, You, They se start ho, toh sentence ke verb me s or es nahi lagega.
  • Verb O, CH, SS se end ho raha ho, toh verb me es aayega aur iske alawa kuch hai toh s aayega.
  • Present Indefinite Affirmative sentence me helping verbs ka use nahi hota hai because jo verb ke forms use hote hai vo bhi present me hi hote hai.

Example:

Sohan goes to school. (Sohan school jata hai)

Subject – Sohan

Verb – go + es

Object – to school.

  • You obey your father. (Tum apne pita ki aagya mante ho)
  • I seldom get late for school. (Mujhe kabhi kabhi school ke liye der ho jati hai)
  • Ram always speaks the truth. (Ram hamesha sach bolta hai)
  • She beats her child. (Vo apne bacho ko marti hai)
  • We bath in the river. (Hum nadi me nahate hai)

Present Indefinite Negative Sentences

Present Indefinite Tense or Simple Present Tense ke Negative sentence ko banane ka jo formula hai vo kuch aisa hai:

Subject + Do not or Does not + First Form of Verb + Object

Important Points: 

  • I, We, You and They ke sath do not ka use kare or agar plural subject hai to bhi do not ka hi use kare.
  • He, She and It ke sath does not ka use kare or agar singular subject hai to bhi does not ka hi use kare.
  • Sentence me do not or does not ke sath verb me s or es add nahi karte hai. 
  • Sentence me kisi tarah essi chiz specified hai jo kabhi nahi hoti, uske liye main verb se pehle Never ka use hoga aur do not ya does not ka use nahi hoga. Also, subject singular ho toh verb me s or es bhi add hoga.

Example:

You do not lie. (Tum jhoot nahi bolte ho)

We don’t play football. (Hum football nahi khelte hai)

Sara never goes to the fair. (Sara fair me kabhi nahi jaati hai)
