Seeking a sense of belonging and validation, Rahul gravitated towards individuals involved in illicit activities. The allure of adrenaline and financial rewards drew him into organized crime. He became enslaved to money and engaged in illegal activities such as extortion, arms dealing, and drug trafficking.

Rahul’s addiction to substances and the constant fear of being caught or killed by rivals took a heavy toll on his physical and mental health. He spiraled into depression and anxiety, which further fueled his addiction.

An Encounter with the Law

Fate took a fateful turn when Rahul was apprehended by law enforcement. As they took him into custody, his mind raced with thoughts of a violent confrontation or a lengthy prison sentence. The days he spent in jail were a blur of interrogation and uncertainty.

Facing 17 criminal charges, each demanding bail money, legal fees, and solvency expenses, Rahul’s family was desperate to help, but their financial resources were有限。

He set an ambitious goal of running from Mumbai to Delhi, a distance of 1475 kilometers. Over the course of 20 arduous days, he completed the journey, sharing his message of hope and recovery with inmates at rehabilitation centers along the way.

Rahul’s unwavering commitment to helping others overcome addiction led him to pursue a career as a counselor in de-addiction centers.
