Early Life and Hardships
Dharamveer Singh Kamboj, a resident of Damla village in Haryana’s Yantra district, spent his formative years amidst a family of five siblings - an elder sister, younger sisters and brother, and the youngest sister. His father toiled in a flour mill, providing for the family’s sustenance. Childhood in the close-knit village revolved around the playful antics of its young inhabitants.
However, their idyllic existence was tinged with the torment of bullying by older children, who would taunt, steal food, and threaten the younger ones. Dharamveer’s family, recognizing the severity of this harassment, enrolled him in school at the tender age of six.
Education and Ambitions
Dharamveer diligently attended primary school and advanced to grades five and six. However, his English proficiency proved lacking, leading to his eventual withdrawal from the education system. Subsequently, he engaged in altercations with other boys in the village.
Fate took an unexpected turn one day when Dharamveer and his companions noticed smoke emanating from a nearby farm. Their investigation uncovered a nefarious practice: farmers were illicitly extracting milk from cows and concocting homemade sweets. Dharamveer’s courageous act of reporting this incident put an end to the fraudulent activity.
Around this time, Dharamveer developed a keen interest in engineering and embarked on creating rudimentary devices, such as a hand pump and an earthquake alarm.

Tragedy struck Dharamveer’s family when his sister succumbed to an incurable disease. His mother dedicated herself to her daughter’s care, leaving Dharamveer overwhelmed with grief and despair.

Unable to cope with the emotional turmoil, Dharamveer abandoned his studies and departed from his village, seeking refuge in the bustling metropolis of Delhi. With only a matriculation certificate and limited skills, he struggled to find employment.
Eventually, he secured a livelihood as a rickshaw puller, a physically demanding occupation that nevertheless provided him with a sense of purpose. In his spare moments, Dharamveer frequented the public library, immersing himself in books to expand his knowledge and hone his abilities.
One fateful day, Dharamveer witnessed a horrific accident involving a truck. The incident shook him deeply, impressing upon him the vulnerability of his existence as a rickshaw puller. He resolved to return home and abandon the perils of Delhi.
