A bar dancer’s daughter talks about dignity and prejudice

There are heart-rending moments in Sheetal’s talk, as she questions the prejudice of a society that judges and condemns her for the fault of being born to a sex worker from Mumbai’s Kamathipura. She goes on to ask if her mother deserves to be at the bottom of the social ladder, and shares her hope for a brighter future. Supported by the organization Kranti, the talented Sheetal got a scholarship to study music in the US in 2015.
