UNDP and Josh Talks partner to have #CharchaForChange
United Nations Development Programme in India and Josh Talks collaborated to create conversations to achieve the goal of poverty eradication through the campaign “#CharchaForChange”.
The campaign began with a dialogue on poverty, conducted along with UN Country Director, Ms. Francine Pickup and 20 select individuals. Who discussed different perspectives of “poverty” and brainstormed innovative solutions to tackle it.
Followed by an online campaign on International Day of Eradication of Poverty, 17th October 2018. Which saw a video, specially curated around the topic in focus. Post which the digital campaign was continued via posting hard-hitting questions to engage the audiences and keep the conversation going.
On 30th October 2018, the Live conference was organised. Which saw 4 individual talks, a panel discussion between policy makers, social entrepreneurs and academicians, moderated by UNDP Country Director and an interview session with a Sarpanch from Haryana.
The last leg of the campaign had a set of 4 workshops with 200+ attendees. Which were conducted for college students across 4 cities namely, Hisar, Warangal, Guwahati and Bhopal. With an aim to go deeper into Tier II and Tier III cities to discuss the deep rooted issues around poverty in the country and educate the youth on various actionables that can be undertaken at their respective levels.
