Aap sabhi ko toh pata hai ki English seekhna kitna important hota hai. English language ke kuch fundamentals hote hai. Unme se ek fundamental block hai prepositions. Hum iss article mai yeh jaanenge ki prepositions kya hoti hai. Sath hi hum jaanenge preposition ke kuch rules jisse aapko English mai sentence formation mai madat hogi. Chaliye jaante hai ki prepositions kise kehte hai.

Hindi, Marathi, Gujrati, Tamil aise anya languages mai sentence formation ke kuch fundamental formats hote hai. Yeh Grammar ya hindi mai kahe toh vyakaran ke roop mai hote hai.

Example: Ling (Gender), Vachan (Singular/Plural) etc  

Vaise hi English mai bhi vyakaran yani ki Grammar ke kuch rules hote hai. Agar hum en rules se familiar ho jaye ho English mai sentence formation easy ho jata hai.

English sentence formation ke basics 

Jaisa ki hume pata hai ki jobs ke interview mai English bohot important hai. Aapko yaha hindi se English mai sentence formation ke tips mil jayenge.

Prepositions English language ki fundamental blocks mai se ek hai. Prepositions kya hoti hai yeh jaan lene se pehle hum English mai sentence formation ke kuch basics samajh lete hai.

English ka basic sentence 3 parts mai divide hote hai, Subject, Verb and Object. Yaha maine “basic” ko highlight kiya hai. Aisa kyu yeh hum aage dekhenge.

  • Subject: Yeh toh naam se hi pata chal jaata hai ki kya hai. Subject kisi bhi sentence ka vishay hota hai. Sentence kiske baare me hai yeh batata hai.
  • Verb: Yeh subject kya kar rha hai ya kya karna chahta hai yeh batate hai. Isliye Verbs ko Action words bhi kehte hai.
  • Object: Object woh hota hai jisse ya jispar subject koi action le raha hota hai. Subject aur Object dono hi nouns ya pronouns hote hai.

Example: Karan  went to the park.

Iss example ko jab hum padhte hai toh pata chalta hai ki Karan park mai gaya tha.

Yaha Subject “Karan” hai jo ki is sentence ka vishay hai. Yaha Verb “went” hai aur Object “park” hai.

Toh iss example mai se humne Subject, Object aur Verb samajh liya hai.

Important: Sentence mai har baar “Object” ho yeh necessary nahi hota.

Example: Karan is very tall.

Iss example mai Subject “Karan” hai. Par koi Object nahi hai.

Sentence mai ek se jyada objects bhi ho sakte hai.

Example: Karan will go to the beach on Saturday.

Iss example mai subject “Karan” hai. Par 2 Objects hai, “beach” aur “Saturday”.

Prepositions kise kehte hai?

Humne English mai sentence formations ke basics jaan liye hai. Ab hum Prepositions kya hoti hai yeh jaanenge.

Prepositions common words hote hai jo Subject aur Object ko relate karte hai. Jo Subject ko Object se jodte hai.

Upar diya example hum firse use karte hai.

Ex : Karan went to the park.

Humne pehle hi jaan liya tha ki “Karan” subject hai aur “park” object. Yaha verb “went” hai.

Aur in do ko jo word relate kar raha hai, “to” woh preposition kehlata hai. 

Ab hume pata chal gaya hai ki prepositions kise kehte hai. Prepositions kya hoti hai yeh hum detail mai seekhenge.

Types of Prepositions 

Prepositions kise kehte hai yeh humne jaan liya hai. Ab hum preposition ke types detail mai dekhenge.

Prepositions 8 types mai categorize kiye jaate hai. Hum in 8 types of preposition ko detail mai dekhenge.

Time Prepositions Kya Hai?

Time prepositions woh hote hai jo koi action ka time denote karte hai. Yeh action ho chuka ya hone wala hai hota hai. 

Example: Riya is free on Saturday.

Iss Sentence ko padne ke baad hume pata chalta hai ki Riya free hai Saturday ko.

Yaha “on” ek preposition of time hai jo hume bata rha hai ki Riya kis din free hogi. Yeh preposition Riya ( Subject ) ke “free” hone aur Saturday ko relate karta hai.

Prepositions of time bohot sare hote hai jaise ki before, after, at, on, in etc.

Example:

  1. Karan has a swimming class at 7pm.
  2. Riya finished her work before lunch.
  3. Karan was tired after his swimming class.
  4. Riya was born on 12th November, 2000.
  5. Karan was sick during Diwali vacation.

Konsa preposition kaha use hona chahiye yeh jaan lena jaruri hota hai. Iske kuch rules hote hai woh hum dekh lete hai.

  1. Jab hum seasons, months, years, centuries ko refer karte hai tab hume “in“ use karna chahiye.

Example: I was born in 2000.

  1. Jab hum kisi specific dates, days of the week, ya specific holidays ko refer karte hai tab hume “on” use karna chahiye.

Example: I go to the swimming pool on Sunday.

  1. Jab aap Time ko refer kar rahe hote ho tab “at” use karna chahiye.

Example: The bank opens at 9 am.

Place Prepositions Kya Hoti Hai?

Jab hum kisi jagah yani ki place ke reference mai sentence form karte hai tab hum preposition of place use karte hai. Inhe hi preposition of place kehte hai. Is category ke sabse common prepositions in, on, at hai.

Ex : 

  1. Riya is at the beach. 
  2. Karan is swimming in the pool.
  3. The cat is on the table.

  1. The mat is under the table.
  2. The cat jumped over the wall.
  3. The swimming pool is near the house.
  4. He is behind the tree.
Preposition of place

Movement Prepositions Kya Hai?

Jaise ki preposition of time, time denote karta hai. Preposition of place, place denote karta hai.

Waise hi preposition of movement, kisi movement ka direction denote karta hai. Iss category mai sabse common preposition “to” hai

Example: Karan will go to the market.

Preposition of movements bhi bohot sari hoti hai, Jaise ki across, into, through, around.

Yeh prepositions hume specific movement batate hai. 

Example: 

  1. Karan swam across the lake.
  2. The bird went into the cave.
  3. The car went through the gate.
  4. The kids were running around the house.

Manner Prepositions Kise Kehte Hai?

Manner prepositions woh hote hai jo hume kisi cheez ko describe karne mai help karte hai. Yaad kahiye ki yeh adjectives nahi hote. 

Example: Karan swims like a professional.

Yaha like ek preposition hai. Jo hume describe karne mai help karta hai ki Karan kiski tarah swimming karta hai.

Waise hai as, with, by, in.

Example: 

  1. He will die by the sword.
  2. Riya was in tears.
  3. The army faces danger with courage. 
  4. Karan worked as a lifegaurd.

Agent Prepositions Kya Hai?

Jaisa ki humne pehle hi jaana tha ki prepositions subject or object ko relate karte hai.

Waise hi kuch preposition hote hai jo kisi action ko kisi subject ya noun ya fir pronoun ko relate karte hai. In prepositions ko preposition of Agent or preposition of Instrument kehte hai.

By, with yeh do Preposition of Agent ya instruments hote hai.

For example: 

  1. This book was written by Amish Tripathi.
  2. He was cutting the vegetables with a knife.
  3. The food was prepared by Chef Riya.

Measure Prepositions Kya Hoti Hai?

Measure prepositions woh hote hai jo kisi cheez ki quantity batane mai help karte hai.

Most commonly used preposition of measure by, at aur of hote hai.

Example:

  1. He was selling cloth by the metre.
  2. I bought two kilograms of apples.
  3. Two-thirds of the earth’s surface is covered by water.
  4. The bank charges an interest at 10%.

Source Prepositions Kya Hai?

Preposition of source woh hote hai jo kisi cheez ka source yani ki zariya batate hai.

Yeh prepositions commonly from aur by hote hai.

Example:

  1. The letter was written by my grandfather.
  2. We receive sunlight from the sun.

Possession Prepositions Kya Hoti Hai?

Possession prepositions hume kisi cheez ke owner ko denote karte hai.

Yeh prepositions to, with aur of hote hai.

Example:

  1. This car belongs to me.
  2. That guy with the black jacket is the owner.
  3. She is a friend of my colleague.
