However, financial constraints and familial obligations forced him to seek external funding to enroll in an engineering program.

Engineering Challenges and a Shift in Aspirations

As a Hindi medium student, Singour faced significant challenges in the rigorous engineering curriculum. As the financial burden on his family mounted, Singour simultaneously prepared for government examinations in search of employment.

Inspiration from the Defense Forces

During his second year of engineering, Singour discovered that he could directly join the police force as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) through the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exam. He embarked on an ambitious journey of preparing for the MPPSC while concurrently pursuing his engineering studies.

However, a setback emerged when Singour realized that he would be too young to appear for the MPPSC exam upon completing his engineering degree in 2017. Disappointment set in, leading him to explore alternative career paths. It was then that he came across the Sub-Inspector exam, which had no age restriction.

Overcoming Physical Obstacles

The Sub-Inspector exam demanded both academic excellence and physical fitness. Singour joined a training group but suffered a stress fracture in his tibia due to the sudden and intense physical activity. Despite the pain, he refused to surrender, opting to continue practicing alone. With unwavering determination, he regained his physical prowess and rejoined the group training sessions. His consistent effort and determination enabled him to excel in the physical test, qualifying with an impressive time of 2 minutes and 27 seconds for the 2.4-kilometer run.

Memorable Interview and Triumphant Result

On the day of his interview, which also marked his 21st birthday, Singour’s youthful appearance was acknowledged by the panel members, who extended their best wishes. He answered their questions confidently, earning a commendable score of 8 out of 10.

The announcement of the results brought immense joy and pride to Singour. He emerged as the youngest candidate in his batch, receiving accolades and recognition from various organizations and individuals.

Upon his selection, Singour underwent rigorous training at the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy in Bhori.
